David Wieduwilt is Chief Biomedical / Clinical Engineer for the Novick Cardiac Alliance. He completed a computer engineering degree as well as a degree in Biomedical engineering.
After completion of his formal training he worked with Drager Medical as an Anesthesia System Specialist. From 1992 – 2001 he was employed by St. Francis Hospital Memphis as Lead Biomedical Engineer, Life Support Systems servicing PREOP, Surgery, PACU, Adult Cardiac Surgery, CICU, GICU and Cardiac Catheterization Labs.
In 2001 he founded and was primary owner of Innovative Engineering, LLC, a Biomedical Engineering company with consulting and service provided throughout Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi as a Perfusion System Specialist.
In 2008 he made his first trip as a volunteer to Kharkov, Ukraine with Dr. William Novick and the International Children’s Heart Foundation. David was a dedicated volunteer and completed 18 mission trips over the next three years and in 2010 he sold his own company before taking a full time position with the organisation in 2011.
He has worked with the Novick Cardiac Alliance since its inception. David is married to Anita and together they have two children, Colby and Connor.
