Frank qualified as a Paediatric RN in Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, London, UK 1987. He has subsequently gained 27 years of experience in acute Pediatric Cardiac care.
In 2004 Frank completed a Masters degree in Paediatric Intensive Care (Advanced Nursing Practice) at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College University of London.
He was a volunteer team member with Dr William Novick’s international teams between 1997 and 2007. In 2007 he started working as a full time Clinical Educator Coordinator and Research Scholar, and in 2012 as a PICU Nurse Practitioner / Educator – both positions with Dr Novick at the International Children’s Heart Foundation, working exclusively in the developing world. During this time Frank also initiated, developed and supervised a team of part time PICU Clinical Educators dedicated to working in specific sites.
Frank has practiced Pediatric Cardiac ICU in 36 ICU’s in 22 different countries. He was Faculty and Invited speaker at the World congress of Paediatric Intensive care in 2005 and 2011.
His specific professional interests include Resuscitation, Fast Track Postoperative Management, Advancing Nursing Practice, and data collection and analysis. He has worked for the Novick Cardiac Alliance since its inception.
