Dr. Novick returned to Zagreb, Croatia where he operated on children with congenital heart defects from 1993 to 2003 – a time when Croatia lacked the specialists and proper equipment required to perform complex surgeries for children with heart defects.
Dozens of his previous patients welcomed Dr. Novick.
