Here's What Some Of Our Amazing Volunteers Have To Say
What I didn’t anticipate was just how much I would gain from volunteering, how much I would develop as a clinician as a result of working with the local nurses. I’m pretty sure I’ve gained more than I’ve given! This is the most challenging work I have done but it has huge rewards. Seeing the dedication of the local teams and their enthusiasm to learn and develop makes you want to make repeat trips. It’s not all work though and I’ve made some great friends and had a lot of fun too.

My experience volunteering with the Cardiac Alliance has been both challenging and rewarding. I have learned new things about cardiology, practiced some clinical skills, and spent a lot of time translating. Besides being passionate educators, the members of the team have become my friends. It has been amazing to visit children on the ward after their operations and see how happy and healthy they look. The Novick Cardiac Alliance does great work helping to fix complex hearts, and I hope to have opportunity to do more volunteer work like this in the future.

Dr. Novick´s teams have always shown solidarity with these patients and have been committed to do their best and with the upmost quality in their work.
On each trip, I have definitely received more than I have given, because I take back with me, for my home and for my family, all the blessings from the parents of those children we treated, I have made many friends and most of all, I am left with the satisfaction, that these children will have a healthier life, thanks to the efforts of these wonderful teams. And I am looking forward to more !!!

I’ve always wanted to do some type of volunteer work and this organization really caught my attention because they strive to educate and support hospitals and staff about pediatric cardiac care around the world.
The organization’s staff is wonderful and very knowledgable and I really enjoy working with them and learning from them.I would recommend any nurse that takes care of pediatric cardiac patients to go on a trip with this organization. It’s so rewarding!
